1. From this year we have a new day care center for the children, so that a child's parents can do their work while we look after them without any tensions, because when the children are with us, they are not only safe but they also get nutritional foods and proper care.
2. This year we brought 4 disabled children from Solukhumbu to our organization and provided them with medical treatment for free.
3. We have extended our scholarship schemes for the children from financially weak family in the following school.
- Bal udhar (Govt. school) : 3 old students + 6 new =9 students
- Nava Jagriti (Govt. school): 5 old students + 6 new =11 students
- Pushpalal Mem. private English boarding school : 9 old students + 10 new = 19 students
- So altogether this year we have 22 new children under our scholarship scheme.
4. we have upgraded our organization with the increase in the number of children in the organization like:
- We have carpetted the daycare center.
- A dining table for the childrens.
- We have also painted the office.
- Constructed a new toilet for the disabled children.
- We also made some new double beds with the increase in the number of children.
5. We have promoted the non formal education for the underprivileged women by extending the time period of the education.
6. This year we had Voluntary visits from Switzerland and france.
7. A Korean association SAMSAl's chairman visited our organization.
8. We have made new plans and projects for the coming year 2011 giving more priority to the Children from the remote areas of Nepal.
9. We took a thorough medical checkup of the children.

1. The Children's result has published and they all have done very well in exam as usual. Rupak Bohora got 1st position; Aitaram Gurung & Mithun Rai got 3rd Position in their respective classes. Maila Ghale has also secured distinction marks. The children are having their regular classes after winter vacation.
2. Mithun Rai likes painting so he has joined painting class in the morning.
3. The women staying at CDCA are also having their evening English classes. Women are busy making Jackets. We are also getting orders from the local people to make jackets and other sewing & cutting items. From this year we are paying good salary for 6 ladies and they are happy to work. They work 10-5 pm. We give the salary comparing the Nepalese daily wages.
4. Aita Ram Gurung and Maila Ghale has got portray. It has made them comfortable to walk and play. They both now can walk as a normal people. They are very happy to get portray. Rupak Bohora and Mithun Rai needs to have operation. The doctor has given the date of 3rd and 10th of April for their operation.The children should be at hospital for a month after operation.
5. The new lady working at Kitchen Bismaya Gurung has also joined the non-formal education class at nearby school.
6. Kima Sherpa needs help for the treatment of her left eye. Because she has only one eye and now the right eye has also been affected she needs to have operation next week. For the left eye doctor told us in Nepal we can do nothing if there is possibility to find sponsor for treatment out of Nepal. If someone have any idea or relation for this case please let us know.
7. We should organize more space because more children are arriving at CDCA home soon. So, we are thinking about making more space at roof top for temporary basis. For this the cost will be around NC Rs.2 lakhs equivalent to 2000euro. Then we are grateful to have a more children more space and may be we will start another project like kinder garden for the day care of the children. Day care centre for the underprivileged children around our area.
8. On Jan 3rd there was held CDCA general meeting. We decided to have lesser number of board members. At first we have 9 and now there are only 7 members. The new members are Dendi Sherpa (president), Anurodh Rana (Vice President), Anup Sigdel (Treasurer), Rudra Basnet (Secretary), Pure Gurung (Member), Nawang Sherpa (Member), and Jasmin Kansakar (Member)
9. And the membership fee should be cleared within the month of January.On 21st Feb 2009 we are going to have get-together with all the members of the association at Kapan to inform them the general activity about the centre for future planning.
10. In coming future our association will grow with more children and we need to find large financial sources and supports. So we would like to request you to help us with whatever means you can. We request you to visit our website and convey to your friends too and give us suggestion, feed back so that we can improve for the betterment of association in future and for our goal and children. We will try to make good life and future for the disabled children.

1.On 9th Jan 2009: The Children were taken to HRDC hospital.
Maila Ghale got portray of his left leg and his right leg should be operated.
Aita Ram Gurung's portray will be ready on 19th Jan 2009.
We also had consultation of other three children:
Rupak Bohora and Mithun Rai needs to have operation. The doctor has given the date of 3rd and 10th of April for their operation. The children should be at hospital for a month after operation.
For Sarita Ghale, doctor told us that she needs to have more exercise & physic therapy but we don't have exercising material and they will observe for 6 months and will decide whether she should have operation or not.
The children have just finished their 3rd terminal examination.
Nowadays they are having winter vacation for 2 weeks.
2.At home we have replaced some furniture. We have made small library in tuition room. We have also place a computer so that children can learn basic knowledge of computer.
3.We are also giving evening class to the ladies for an hour. A new lady has arrived from Gorkha. She will cook food for the children and takes all the responsibilities related to kitchen. She has been trained for cook and housekeeping.
4.About the association: Our budget has increased as compared to 2007 & 2008. Three more children are arriving at home soon.
5.About CDCA women workshop it has progressed than last year. By selling the products made by women has supported for the running of the association.
6.Official visit from the government Children right commission of Nepal, District child welfare committee. Kapan VDC. And from the political party, Congress, UML and Maoist and Rotary club of Nepal. Sagarmatha Television, ABC television and other local people.
7.We also had some volunteers from Europe.

1. We went to visit HRDC (Hospital and Rehabilitation centre for Disabled Children) for the consultation of the children for their operation on 28th Nov 08.
2. On 1st Dec 2008 both the children Aita Ram Gurung and Maila Ghale were taken for the consultation at the hospital and have order to make the shoes. The doctor has given the date of 6th Jan 2009 and on that day we are going to take all of our children to the HRDC.
3. President of CDCA Mr. Dendi Sherpa went to Gorkha with Aita Ram Gurung on 13th Dec 2008 because Aita Ram Gurung has lost his mother, so for the funeral and to finish other works related to it he is going to his village (Gorkha).
4. At the same time he is giving the computer set for the Lapubesi School. This school has been rebuilt in 2006 /2007 and has only completed the construction of the building for School but they need furniture and place for playing games etc. The first thing they need is to pay the salary for the teachers. Now this school has the capacity of giving education for more than 380 students. The school can be the place for the students where they can have facility to give SLC but this school needs sponsor for teacher because from government the teacher aren't getting salary. For now there are only 4 teachers but demand of this school is more than 8, because day by day the numbers of students are increasing. So there are not enough teachers.
5. There are several disabled children from remote areas of Nepal who are asking for help and willing to come to our association.
6. On weekend the volunteer from France took the Children to the Kapan Monastery, Patan durbar square and also for shopping. They bought clothes and shoes for the children.
7. The President of CDCA Mr. Dendi Sherpa also went to some schools at Bandipur, Pokhara on 24th of Dec 2008.
8. Now the children are having their third terminal examination from 31st Dec 2008. So they are busy with their studies.
9. The general meeting of our association is going to be held on 3rd Jan 2009.
1. Now the children have finished their second terminal examination and they are having Dashain vacation for 15 days.
2. The children have secured good marks in their second terminal exam too.
3. Mithun Rai and Rupak Bohora secured first position in their respective classes and Aita Ram Gurung secured second position and Maila Ghale secured 83%.
4. The children's are enjoying their Tihar vacation and their classes are starting on 2nd November 2008.
5. Sewing and cutting department's work is also going on smoothly, they are making different items and from the benefit generated from those items salaries are distributed to the workers.
6. The visitors at the Association also buy the materials made by the ladies and help our association.
7. Due to the inflation the expenses of the CDCA is also increasing and it has been difficult to run the association with the limited source of income.
