Who We Are

Empowering Children with Disabilities Since 2006

Center for Disabled Children Assistance (CDCA) is a non-governmental not-for-profit organization working since 2006 AD in Nepal. The major purpose of CDCA is to support children with disabilities (CwDs) to participate fully in society and enjoy equal rights and opportunities.

CDCA is focused on grassroots communities, making wheelchair and disability aid accessible to the most marginalized and poorer groups. CDCA is founded by a group of nine people with the aim of advancing the lives of CwDs from the remotest parts of the Himalayan region of Nepal.

What We Do

CDCA provides a range of services for children with disabilities across Nepal.

CDCA Care Home

Children with physical disabilities stay in our care home at Balkumari, Kapan-1, Kathmandu. We provide lodging, food, medical treatment, and education free of cost.

Even a small contribution can bring big changes in the lives of children with disabilities. Join us in our mission.

To enable the children with physical disabilities and helpless children providing child friendly environment by rehabilitating them, providing them school education, medical treatment and psychosocial counseling.

Goal

To increase access to the free education and free health services for the reduction of vulnerability, and poverty.

Providing necessary medical treatment in collaboration with HRDC hospital and Model hospital Kathmandu. Over 55 physically disabled children have been treated successfully.

Education Support

Scholarships for children with disabilities at private boarding and government schools, plus non-formal education for women in multiple districts.

Wheelchair Distribution

Customized wheelchair distribution and repair services for children and individuals with mobility challenges across Nepal.

Vocational Training

Skill-based training programs including sewing, tailoring, jewelry making, candle production, and computer skills for women with disabilities.

Awareness Programs

Sensitization campaigns on disability awareness, waste management, women's health, and psycho-social counseling in the community.

An Italian volunteer organization supporting school construction, disabled children, and family infrastructure in Nepal.

The special international service club branch linked with JuJu MaMa that directly organizes community music instrument circles, charity drives, and children's welfare initiatives in Kathmandu.
